Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you found me! I just wanted to welcome you
and to tell you what you can expect here on my blog and website.

My name is Lorraine and I love helping women of all ages feel great by sharing how to optimize their mental wellness holistically (meaning "whole body") using lifestyle and natural solutions. I am going to be sharing different ways that you can reduce stress, anxiety & depression, improve mental focus, low energy, balance your hormone, improve your gut health & beat weight loss resistance. I'm also going to share how all these things are connected to your gut brain axis and how it impacts both our physical and mental health.

Now, I do have to explain that I'm not a doctor, or any type of medical professional, so what I share on this page is for informational purposes only. If you are struggling with physical or mental health challenges I would highly recommend that you to speak to your doctor or a medical professional.

I'm just a middle aged mom who has noticed mood swings, low energy, and definitely a struggle with weight loss resistance as I've gotten older. I also have a husband and two young adult children that have ADHD and struggle with bouts of anxiety and depression, as well as the typical lack of focus. So I’ve been searching for solutions.

I believe in taking a holistic approach and making lifestyle changes first;
physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and financial.

I have nothing against the traditional medical system, and am thankful for the help it’s provided over the years ( I’ll share more about that in another post), but I have my own personal health & wellness philosophy. I believe in taking a holistic approach and making lifestyle changes first; physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and financial. If changes there aren’t enough then I look at natural and otc remedies. If that isn’t enough then I do seek help from a medical professional. Of course I evaluate every situation separately, and if it immediately requires a visit to the doctor or other health professional then that’s what I do. But more often than not, many issues can improve with lifestyle changes, including mental health. I also find that making lifestyle changes can really help support advice and medications from my doctor. Again, if you or someone you love is struggling please go seek professional advice.

Having said that, I have found a lot of things to help optimize my family’s mental wellness, so I'm going to be sharing the things I'm learning here on the blog, and hopefully I’ll inspire you in your own wellness journey.
